C&G ARDUINO UNVEILS SUZN
Eugene, OR (March 7th, 2022). C&G Arduino is happy to announce the launch of our new product, SUZN…
SUZN is the solution to cluttered table tops near your front door. The product allows for the user's belongings (keys, wallets..etc) to be stowed away and not disrupt a clean space. This product rotates to place objects on the platform then swiftly turns back to put them out of sight. These features can be attributed to the customizable plastic base and shell, that’s is easily removable out depending on the consumer’s taste.
SUZN uses a servo motor with a motion sensor to trigger the rotation. The user approaches the stationary product and the sensor detects the motion and rotates the motor 180 degrees, revealing the shell to place belongings in. Once the user moves away from the product, the shell rotates back facing the wall and remains in a stationary state. This is a smooth transition by using ball bearings inside the base just above the motor. This assembly can be powered by two batteries to complement the computer chip and motor function. The motion sensor lies on the center of the base

PROCESS
Inspired by the Lazy Susan, this project targeted to discreetly place essential items without touch. Achieved by using a Servo Motor and a PIR Motion Sensor.
Digram of the sensor, and motor with proper wiring to be received by the Arduino computer chip. Drafted with Fritzing Software.
CODING
Application of code that accurately detects motion from the outer wall of the product, and sends the signal to the servo motor to rotate 180 degrees.
3D MODELING
Combining the components and seeing their interaction inside Rhino to prepare for 3D-Printing.
Initial CAD Model, testing the relationship of the shell to the rotating base.
ASSEMBLY
3D-Printed parts and electronics assembly. Ensuring the motion sensor fit within the hole of wall and building wire management.
